Looking for a few parts

I'm helping a friend out who is building a 34 plymouth streetrod. Looking to put a 383 in it. Wondering if anybody has a b-block tunnel ram collecting dust in a corner somewhere that they might be willing to part with. Also looking for an A833 for the project, probably be happy with a 23 spline (considering the price of an 18 spline). The b block TR's seem to be a rare item these days. Any help is appreciated. I should add that this is for looks more than power.

I'll get some pics of the project up soon.

I'd say go 440, but if he's hell-bent on the low-deck then I say go with a 400... cubes is cubes. Either way, a tunnel ram on a stock-stroke B-motor won't be any fun below 5 grand, looks or not.

As I always do, if he's not going to stroke the engine I'd say to go with a 360 rather than a stock-stroke B-motor. It'll be more fun on the street, make more low-end power, and be an easier fit to boot. The 360 has a stroke almost a quarter of an inch longer than the 383/400, and the smaller bore means the flame will get across the chamber faster and start pushing on the piston sooner.

Plus, tunnel rams are a lot easier to find for the LA engine... I bought mine used but it was already polished and included a $180 Edelbrock side-mount Holley linkage kit, for $187--shipped--off eBay.

You'll get no argument from me on this one. Bit of a story behind it. He already has some money sunk into the 383 so that is the way he is going. Either way, I can give them all the good advice one can and he will do his own thing anyways. This car is going to be way more show than go. If it was me, and I just had the 383 to work with, I would drop a 440 crank in it (that he has laying around, I might add), and go that way. But again, it would fall on deaf ears.
