Livin' my life...one gas station at a time.
In case you don't hear from me or 08Challenger for a while, this is probably why. The last Tropical Storm (2 yrs ago) that came over the island wasn't even a Cat 1 Hurricane before it hit and we lost power and water for about two weeks in most places.[smilie=f:

All I gotta say is this thing better not fuck with my trip back to the US next week.[smilie=l:

The storm is taking it's sweet ass time getting outta here. Must have some old blue haired lady behind the wheel...

So far all we've had today is some light to moderate rain with higher than normal humidity and average wind. Looking at the weather radar it seems like it's goin to be heading more westerly now. Not good.

The forcasters are all asleep or something. The reports all say it's still moving WNW but the radar shows it has made about a 90' turn and is now heading SW straight towards PR.[smilie=f: Looks like it'll be here before sunrise...

*sings Riding the Storm Out*

Well, we're still here. Sometime after I went to bed around 1:30 the storm zigged back on track (WNW). However, when it did that the rain broke away from the wind and stayed on a course for PR. It's starting to come down now but I have no idea how long it'll hang around. If the rain stays for a while we could still get some signifigant flooding with the poor drainage we have here.

rofl I'm just now seeing this post, just goes to show you how much I watch the news around here, I didn't know aobut the storm till GoMo told me about the day of, oh well now just to sit and wait for the next one.....

When I lived on the west coast I used to be like that with earthquakes. People would always ask if I felt that quake (earlier, yesterday...etc) to which I would always say no then later that night I'd hear about it on the news :D Only quake I have ever felt was the 6.something that leveled the Bay area of Cali. in '89.

I would probably same the same if I lived back in miami, hell I slept thru Hurricane Andrew. But living on this small island it doesn't take much to put it under a couple feet of water....
