loving Pink Floyd Pulse concert. Bob Dylan is my favourite...ok, maybe he's considered classic rock. of course Jimi Hendrix is the professor. these days i listen to so much international music on internet radio. i'm into blues and latin jazz. it's great to see how many young people i meet these days that even know about the Doors , Deep Purple. Led Zeppelin. i lived 'em. U2 have awesome concerts. p.s. i'm an older broad

Back in 99 I saw Skynerd, Bad co, David lee, ZZ, Dylan, and Terrible Ted. Best of the bunch was Nugent- at the house of blues in Chicago. Ive kinda been around music most of my life and I have a somewhat biased opinion but I have to say he put on the best show, not the tightest by any means but I got off.:2thumbs: P.s. older broads are the best

I love a lot of the bands posted and these are among my favorites although I always forget a few crucial choices

Van Halen
AC/DC
Rush
Triumph
Eagles

If'in you're lucky enough to make it to old age, you'll discover that the women outnumber the men by 3 to 1. :nanna:

:bwuhaha:
You're an old broad, huh? I'll be sure to tell my wife that. You two are the same age, aren't ya? She used to serve you and your friends at La Strada... (That, technically, was the first time I met her.)

For music,

I listen to a LOT of stuff, but my favourites:

Stevie Ray Vaughan
Robert Johnson
Buddy Guy
B.B. King
Pretty much ANY blues artist - especially blues guitarists.
Jimi Hendrix
Doors
Zep
Early Stones - they wrote some good stuff and managed to put it together in the studio. Live? :dgt: I'll pass.
When I was a kid, Teenage Head was my favourite and they're still around playing the clubs and festivals. Kinda punkish/rockabilly/rock band.
Van Halen with Roth was fun.
The list goes on and on..

It's funny, when artists are really huge on the radio and record sales and stuff like that, I barely give them a listen. When the excitement has waned a bit, then I tend to start to listen.
I didn't really like anything from AC/DC until a few years after Back In Black was released...
Van Halen: hated them at first.

The only exception to this was Stevie Ray Vaughan. I was hooked on his guitar playing the second I heard Let's Dance by David Bowie.

AC/DC

Audioslave is a band

(though my sig says that a radio statoin is named 'Audioslave'. Thats taken from their music video where they pretty much did scenes from Vanishing point, and occationaly the band members. They were driving a nice white Challenger R/T in the band scenes too).

I think they got some good sounds. The singer is from sound garden, the lead guitarist is from Rage against the machine, and i think the other two guys are too.

AudioSlave is just Rage Against the Machine with Chris Cornell. Outta call themselves Rage Against the SoundGarden (that's what I call em.) I like em....not crazy about em but they're pretty good.
