I was just on the AMSOIL corporate site, and couldn't find any reference to an open top filter.
I emailed my sponsor and asked if he knew whether or not they offered one.

I empty my vacuum cleaner over the carb during cam break-in. It's much cheaper than a K&N filter, but the effects are aboot the same.

I also get a kick out their "million mile" warranty... funny they never seem to mention the 10-year time limit on it.
