Jester Dart out of garage after 1.5 years

Jester

In through the Out Door, so She's
Pulled the golden shower out of the garage for a good run, then a wash and wax. Took some pics, noticed the top isn't doing too well, but looks decent otherwise :-)

Found a friend the size of my head...

Also got some incorrect year rallye rims pretty cheap, which I re-painted but don't have pics yet. Will be getting new BF Goodrich tread for those and will order a new exhaust manifold very soon. It sounds like a tractor with it's current warped slant 6 manifold.

The white vinyl top is almost toast. I'm actually very afraid to remove it and find out what surprises it has hidden for 42 years. [smilie=2:

It has about half a tank of 1.5 year old gas in it. I'm thinking it would be wise to siphon it out, burn it in my daily driver, and fill it with some fresh fuel. Or would adding some fuel stabilizer work?

I would think if you topped it off with fresh premium and added some Star Brite to it to treat the old fuel as well, you'd be just fine.

I was just wondering about you the other day for some reason, and I wondered if you still had this car... I think I saw a banner picture of it. It sure is a sweet old thing. I'm glad to see you've still got it and still love it enough to buy some Rallyes for it. Let me know if you want to off those dog-dishes. I'd really like to get a set of the red-stripe Dodge ones for my Challenger.

Good to hear from you Jester man. The old swinger is still looking sweet, sure love the color combo on the old golden shower.

You might get lucky on the bubbling under the vinyl top. Might be better to get that taken care of sooner then later. I prefer the dog dish and steelies....I say mount the new BFG's on the steel rims. ;)
