Its been a great weekend overall! Not only with my Fiancee but as far as my car hobby goes as well!
On Saturday I went down to the JY that priced me a good running 360 magnum out of a Ram for $400 to put $$ down on it. Well, I ended up with more on my bill. He had a '94 Church van with a blown 360 and an A-518OD. The 360 was supposedly a re-man or something but they threw a rod through the oil pan. He priced that motor out COMPLETE air cleaner to pan with accessories for $150! The Trans he priced out at $200! So, $750 got me a strong running 360 Magnum complete, a complete 360 Magnum core and an A-518OD! I'm making payments on them so it shouldnt drain me too much.
Then today a guy stopped in looking for Dodge parts for a Truck. He had an '83 for sale that I looked at but him and his sons told me about a '91 or so 1/2 ton longbed that was sitting behind a house that was wrecked in the drivers front.
I found that thing and it could be bought! Its a '91 LE longbed, 318-TBI, A-518OD, and it was hit on the drivers front (a steep ditch). Didnt bend the frame it didnt look like but he said it broke the motor mount. BUT, it still runs and drives straight so I think its mainly cosmetic. Has a nice stereo in it too and the interior is pretty nice. Also has the aluminum 15x7 "Holed" wheels like my '85. Other than the drivers front, the rest is decent, bed is NICE! Price? $300! I'm buying that one pretty damn quick too! I got some cars to scrap so that will enable me to have the funds for it!
I'm going to pull the fender off and the core support, replace that stuff (I have a nice drivers fender out here and '86-90 core support and grille) and put it on the road!
So yeah all in all I think I did great this weekend! 2 360 motors, an A-518 and a '91 LE longbed!
