OK guys,
Its been listed For Sale here and 'parts a few times with no takers. Anyway, a Friend of mine talked me into esperimenting with some tires and it turned into a "Might as Well" type of project. Needless to say I'm keeping it.
The car is a '74 Dart Sport. 318/auto, PS, PDB, and air. Otherwise, plain jane with a 3/4 vinyl top, which has been conveniantly removed. BUT, it only has 83k on it.
The Tire job started out innocently enough, with my Buddy wanting me to try 255/60 tires out back and 235/60 tires up front. Used 15x7 Cop wheels in this. Got them on the back, they fit pretty good, but up front I needed to replace the T-Bars with matching V8 ones. That all spiralled out of control and the car now has a factory Sway Bar and bigger rotors. Mods so far:
Factory front sway bar
R-Body 11.75 rotors and slider adapters
15x7 Cop wheels and dog dishes
255/60/15 tires out back, 235/60/15 up front
The left brake line blew when testing it out so I'm going to go ahead and re-do the whole brake system, with new pads up front and in the back I want to find a 11" brake setup. Should bolt on, as I have an 8 1/4 out back.
For the motor, the old one has a burnt valve so I want to check out this $35 '01 Magnum 318 I've got and drop it into the Car with an M1 Manifold and reworked '92 wiring and an aftermarket gauge cluster. Also want to use the A-500 that I've got out here for this project. It WILL be Fuel Injected BTW.
More updates as they become available. Unfortuantely we got alot of the white stuff so I cant move the car to the shop and work on it.
