Is this thing still on???

Livin' my life...one gas station at a time.
I've just been wondering what's been happening around the old neighborhood lately. I see someone changed the drapes while I was away. Was that your idea DCF?

I'm finally out of the Navy now (since Dec 09) and going to Gunsmith school full time in Lakewood, CO. I've still got the R/T/A and the 511 Wedge, but the're currently up for sale. I hadn't been able to make any new progress with it since I last worked on it in TX.

We're still a "Mopar or No Car" family here. I traded my '01 Diesel Ram ($$$ PIT!) for a lifted '07 Jeep Cherokee (4.0) on 35's back in December. The wife's still got her '00 Durango (5.9) 4x4 and her son, who is now living with us, is driving a '93 Dakota (5.2) 4x4.

I just popped in to see what's been happening lately. Seems a bit slower around here than I remember.

I guess I just got a bug to look up some old friends after the motorcycle accident I had a couple of weeks ago. The short story: I got high sided off the bike (@ 45-50mph) into the back of a stopped car and then slammed on the pavement pretty hard. The impact messed up my left kidney area and bruised my whole right side and neck. Thank God I always wear full safety gear! The accident got me thinking about Da-Ho :( and how I really should get back in touch with you all. Life is too short to just walk away from friends. For that I apologize to everyone here. My (hectic) life seemed to just consume every last bit of my time, attention and energy for a while there while I was away.

BTW: So how many Moparnuts are here in Colorado or the Rocky Mtn area? Wasn't Gio living somewhere around here?

Welcome back Gomo! Sorry to hear about your accident but glad to still have ya here on the green side of the world! 69.5 and I went through Colorado, stopped in Denver to see a friend of mine, in about Sept/Oct sometime. I forget really. We did the U-Haul road trip from the U.P. of Michigan, down to L.A. and up to Oregon. Denver was a truly welcome sight! It was the first patch of beautiful scenery we saw since Michigan! Yeah DCF rearranged some furniture and re-decorated a bit. You'll get used to it. :D Take care and rest up man! Good to see ya around again! :):bravo:

Good to hear from you GoMo. Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad to know that you're on the mend though.

Yep, the newest software upgrade was a major overhaul.

A few other changes in the back office too.

How's the gunsmithing going?

Geez, how'd I miss this? Bummer on motorcycle wreck, the older you get the harder the pavement seems to be.

Glad to hear that you are still alive and kickin Paul. Hope all goes well for your recovery and Gunsmithing endevours.

GOMO! Nice to hear from you, I think Gio & a12b are out there some where, you know how much I travel :toot:
Anyhoo, been with the 340 bros a few times since, greg works with me in the winters a bit, haven't met up with any other nuts nats folks since I saw onehellofadart at the track a few years back.
Am thinking about a tenth anniversary party for the car this year if I get off my butt & get it on the road! Rich.

Hey Paul! Good to hear from you, sorry to hear about the mishap, but now it's out of your system you can move forward (there are 2 types of motor cycle riders: 1)those that have kissed the pavement, and 2) those that will sooner or later) Happy to say I too have been inducted into the pavement kisser group. Hope those wounds heal well and you can get back on that horse. How civilian life treating you otherwise?

Not too much going on right now. I've been studying the gun stuff full time. In my off time I've been building AK-47's and buying and selling guns and parts. Business expenses ya know... ;)

Good to hear from you all. I'm pretty much doing a lot better, except for the still sore kidney area.

Some of my instructors seem to think that they're still in the military or something. Other that those idiots., civilian life is nice for a change.
