My Mopar farm that is! Had a little adventure Monday and Tuesday, so here goes!
Sunday a Buddy of mine called me up from N. Little Rock, AR, having problems with his '64 Dart. front wheel bearings were out of it, welded to the spindle again. He took the car to NC and was on his way back when it happened. Anyway, I wasnt able to come till Monday and thats when I left.
Turns out he met some guys down there that were helpful but we still couldnt find the damn parts we needed. Well, we found one but they wanted over a hundered bux for the spindle, hub, and drum! Yikes!
Anyway, we left the car there but we did do some driving around in my Truck before we left and its pretty country down there. There are some real nice people down there as well, one of them let my Buddy park his car down there for a couple weeks till we get the parts we need.
Not too many Mopars in that area, mostly Ferd and Chebbys.
Anyway, my Truck made it back on 18 gallons! Not too bad considering I was runnin 70 plus and had traffic jams in Tulsa because of the storms. I was hoping to see a Tornado or something but it didnt pan out. Lotta heavy rain though going into Tulsa on the expressway.
Arkansansans are kinda crazy though, they had a sign for a park that was called "Toad Suck Park", No lies!
Anyone know if there is a Nuclear facility down there somewhere off the interstate 40? We saw some big freakin smokestack down there that looked like one from a powerplant but we werent sure.
And, today it was back to the grindstone, got a car finished parting pretty much (The hacked up one I posted pics of) and loaded onto the trailer, IN THE RAIN! WAs nice when I got out there but it started drizzling and then went to rain, GRRRR!
OK thats enough rambling, flame on!
