Hey! Why is this green car still in my garage?

not a charger

Mom and dad asked me to keep the Scamp. They said that selling it would make them feel worse about everything that's going on. The buyer was really nice about it. He said that, as a parent, he understands, and he wouldn't want his daughter and son-in-law (who live across the street from me) to have to get rid of their toys because of him. He gets first crack at it if I ever do decide to get rid of it.

I think that, as time goes on, my folks will see that I really don't have time for it, and they'll soften a bit and tell me it's OK to sell it.

Ya gotta love parents.
That's mighty nice of them to do that.

Sounds like you come from a good family. :)

Sweet NAC! I hope things do pull together for your family and you weather the storm. Nice to have an understanding neighbor and purchaser.

Good news. [smilie=e:

I was wondering about that upcoming transaction today, nice outcome. [smilie=e:

I drove it to work yesterday, and was grinning from ear-to-ear. [smilie=b:

As the little one gets older, the Scamp will become even less practical and will have to go. Hopefully, THAT will be the reason for getting rid of it, which means I'll replace it with more of a cruiser-type ride...early A-body 'vert, mid-late 60s Caddy 'vert, that kind of thing. However, if the time requirements of my family situation end up being as drastic as I think they will be, I won't replace it.

The car's going to go. It's just a question of when, and what will be parked in it's place...a "new" old car, or my Cherokee. For now, I'm going to enjoy having it. We're putting the car seat in it tomorrow and taking Anna for her first spin in it.

actualy atleast its a "long" wheel base fishy where theres zero rear leg room...practicality is in the eye of the beholder

keep it as long as ya can

Thats so good to hear. Wish we lived closer as I could grab my sons Dart and we could cruise the 11 second A-bodies together ! [smilie=e: Very glad to hear you are keeping it. Ron

The car is a lot of fun, that's for sure. Some moron blew a stop sign and almost took the front of the Scamp off today, but that's a different story. [smilie=e:
