Hey Restoman!!!

Only thing I know is that it's been on there for a while.
Ditch the traction bars, paint the engine compartment the right way, paint the inner door frames Black and stick a proper steering wheel on there...and some wheels, you'd have the beginnings of a nice car.

69, $7 k for a Dart in that shape around here is pretty normal. There are a couple south of me needing complete restorations that are asking $6500 each.
A 69 Dart ragtop at one of the local yards is going for the same $$$$ and it needs a LOT of work.
Rust free up here means the title hasn't been sitting in a tin can full of water.:shifty:

 Yup, pricing this side of the border combined with being in the rust belt is ridiculous. I can go 3 hours south into Kentucky and find loads of cars like this for much less. A little further to Tennessee and you're looking at 1/2 the price after the exchange. Now, if only I had a trailer...:hmmm:

Take a look to the States jd for your next project, if you can. Even after taxes, exchange etc., it's MUCH cheaper and don't believe all the horror stories about crossing the border. Most of the time it's people not doing their due diligence to satisfy U.S. Customs. I got my Fury from across the line and had absolutely zero hassle.

wow..simply wow..2-3 k here is what its worth..period...maybe 4 if its really really flawless and MOVES like its a badass

I have actually bought a couple out of the states in the past. And you're right, they went pretty smoothly.Worst problem I had was at the Lewiston,NY crossing. I learned the hard way that they only export cars mon-fri,9-5,NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Guess who spent the rest of the weekend in Niagara Falls,NY! LOL!:bwuhaha:

I'm forever roaming the 'net looking for cars, but like you, I don't have a trailer, or the time to travel all over the country.:doubt: This one in Sarnia looks like it could be a decent driver with a little work. I don't want/need a show car, just something respectable to bang gears in and a 70 Dart has alway been "THE" car for me.

The unibody had better be perfect for that kind of money. Even with a 318, an original 340/stick car is worth that much. However, the economy being where it is, I'd bet if you showed up with $5K cash, you'd load it onto your trailer with a signed title in your hand.

You're thinking along the same lines I am, Doc! I'm really not overly concerned about #'s, but if it does turn out to be legit, that'd be a bonus!

I just need to move a couple vehicles to free up the cash+space so I can do more than window shop!

I'd ask what you need to move, but I already have 5 cars. :D Of course, I could make three of them vanish tomorrow were we talking about the right ride... :hmmm:

Welll...:toot:These 2 for starters.

I REALLY want this one gone. It's promised to my friend (buy-back divorce deal). He's made one cash payment and 1 month's free shop rent so far...

That would leave me with these. The 4dr is technically my wife's, so I don't know if I'm allowed to sell it!:naughty:

My wife wants it. Will you take payments?

:hmmm: I'm only half kidding. She'd go back to work to make payments on something like that. Except I'd have to give up part of the garage.... :doubt:

I could always put it in the trunk of the New Porker, I guess. :p

DCF: Anything's possible... I bought that car off my friend about 5 years ago. He had owned since '79,IIRC. I bought it with the understanding he'd buy it back once he got back on his feet. Well, that has been SLOW in happening...I've tried to be as patient as possible. Heck, I haven't even driven since the first summer I owned it! No heater, no wipers, no rollup windows, 5.13 gears and a thirst for race gas make it unreasonable for ME as a weekend fun car.:( I may have to give him an ultimatim soon, I've got home repairs that have also been on the backburner for longer than I care to admit.

Oof! Sorry for the life story there!

So, it's set up as a racer rather than a cruiser, then...

I'd have to change that - somewhat.. at least make it street legal and more comfortable.

For sure! The way you see it now was done around 89-90. You know, the remove everything that doesn't make it faster mentality.:vroom: Unfortunately, that makes it no fun as any kind of daily transportation. Not my cup of tea, but then again, i didn't plan on owning it this long.

Uuummm.........is it just me, or is that left front tire a little wonky??

JD, you should list those! I would love to see em and know what the "deal" is. :)
Whats with the truck? and the brown Dart?

Oh, sure... you just had to put an '80 Aspen in there. You know I'm a sucker for F/M/J/Y-bodies, right?

*Sigh*

PM me with the details.
