Hey all,
Got my first flood car in yesterday. It was at my buddys house where they towed it into. Its an '89 D-150 LWB LE. Red on red like my old '89, just upgraded a bit. 318-TBI, 727 (had a 518 originally), and pretty well loaded up. Overall its not bad, pass. fender and bedside banged up, but other than a few little knicks, the drivers side is pretty decent. Tailgate is NICE! Full trim on that one too.
I took it to the carwash yesterday and hosed out the interior, but it still needs cleaning, same with the body.
Any tips to reviving this thing? I know I'm going to drain the engine, trans, and rearend, then pull the plugs and dry out the cylinders. The cooling system was sealed as was the brakes and A/C. I dont know if it affected the computer at all, arent they sealed like the old lameburns?
Any other tips and tricks that I need to know? If I cant get it fired, its going out in the field as a parts truck, as I can use the A/C stuff for my V6 '88 SWB.
