Hey all,
Since I got my black '88 Shorty, I've had no need for another one so I listed my '73 for sale on the Mo-Kan website. I ended up trading it for an '82 Ramcharger and a '78 Military shortbed. Got em home today!
The Ramcharger is an '82. It has a 318, 4-spd, but otherwise low options. Was a northern Ill. truck so no air and has a block heater. Its not bad other than the rear quarters. The hood and grille are junk, rearended a lifted truck. I've got all those to fix it. The throwout bearing is also junk so I'll have to replace that. But its supposed to run and he was driving it daily till that happened.
The military rig is ROUGH but its a real one. Its a 360-4 '78 with a 4-spd. Regualr cab shortbed. Someone robbed the 9 1/4 out of it so it has an 8 3/8 rear under it. Bet it had a sure grip! That one is supposed to run as well though the guy never tried to start it. I'll plop a battery in it and see how it does tomorrow.
AND, when he brought the trucks over, he saw a stepside bed that I had that was unused. I'm trading that straight across for a '67 Valiant 4-dr thats really decent Dash is real nice as is the front seat. Body is pretty straight too.
So all in all it was a fun trip and I ended up with two more Mopars!
