Finally I have a Mopar again.

I now have a 87 Jeep Cherokee Wagoneer, with the 4.0 6. It needs some work but hell not too bad for 31 years old, very reliable.

FDE01B69-31DF-4861-AF33-80309729D2D4.jpegHere’s mine. It’s an ‘84, and I’ve replaced everything but the headlights on it, and even they don’t work right.. the whole running gear has been switched from ‘84 2.5/BW4/NP207 to various years of TJ and YJ 2.5/AX5/231.. The original motor shredded the distributor gear, the BW4 had no first gear, the 207 was on its last leg. I wish you much better luck with yours than I’ve had with mine, but I doubt you’re beating the hell out of yours on rocks in the woods like I have been. I’m envious of other people’s reliable XJs, and might have questions about what I assume is the functioning wiring harness in yours.. mine's mostly melted where it counts.
