It seemed to shut down before the response team got to the shut off.

Props to the first guy on scene: he ran right up to the driver's door. Ballsy.

You'd think there would some sort of safety shut off after an accident like that.... Or is there and it just didn't trigger?
 
should be a kill switch within reach of the driver as well as one on the back of the car......if the one in drivers reach failed...ok its always possible but i thought they were wired to kill EVERYTHING

wonder if he ran it out of gas?...fire went right out....
 
I read that the driver was knocked out?....if so he couldn't have killed power anyway. Really made me sick when the car caught on fire and the driver was still in it.
 
Glad he was ok. I'm really surprised they don't mandate remote kill switches like they do in monster trucks! I think they use R.I.D.s (Remote Ignition Disruptors) I think that's what they're called.
