little school girl and the beanie prop just hit Mach 3! Wheeeee!

If you take a look up at the menu bar at the top of the page, you'll see a new item in the second line.

Edit: because the software change broke the pages - and I can't find the docs anymore...

Clicking that will take you to a page with links to a number of new documents that a certain horned-one brought to us.

The pages are laid out to minimize scrolling of the docs. However, that means you need to be at a higher resolution. even then some pages cause scrolling in the frame. There's not much that can be done about that except make the images smaller and then we lose some detail. I opted for trying to show as much of the document on the screen as possible. If there is a page that you really need, you can always right-click and "Save as.." or even print it right out to your printer.

There's more docs to come. It takes time to convert them to html so that you don't have to download the entire pdf. (*spins beanie a little faster*)

I'm also working on something like an article base for some of our technical information. This will allow us to have documents of the better tech info and get them "unburied" from the threads. A nice index of sorts will help locate them quickly. (*eyes pop out of head from beanie prop downwash.*)

Same here.

 Sorry about that.

I had them in draft mode while I built them up and forgot to put them in public mode...

shoudl be good now.

Nice! I'll be needing those pretty soon when I rewire the Chally.

Any chance of getting some of the more common mods added to the list? Like the MP electronic ignition kit diagram and MSD-6 series ignition diagram, etc.

Or... Here's a novel idea: We scan in (or mail to someone that can scan in for us) any installation instructions from the add-ons or mods or projects that we get/do for our Mopars. I know I've got a bunch of instructions sheets and diagrams back in PA that I'm sure others here would be interested in taking a peek at.

would be extra cool if you had another link in there for 'download pdf'...id put em all out on the shop pc

Hey DCF, how big of a document file size can we have posted?

I just got an A727/A904 tranny rebuilding manual in the mail today. It has about 80 b/w pages of text and pics in it. I have no idea what would make it out to be in MB if I scanned it into a PDF. Would that even be something that's ok to do?:hmmm: I have some other options/ideas about it but that should probably be discussed in a PM.:toot:

Look for a copyright date in it. If it's recent, then we can't replicate it and post it.

The wiring diagrams and parts catalogs have all had their copyrights expired. That's why you see all of the reprints and CDs full of them on eBay and such.

It says copyrighted 1993 inside the front cover.

What's the cut off time frame to allow public re-use?

All works published before Jan 1, 1978 that did not contain a valid copyright can be considered public domain.

That's the rule that freed up all of the service manuals, parts catalogs, and wiring diagrams.

Then, generally speaking this rule kicks in:
Additionally, you are free to copy any work published before 1964 in which the copyright owner failed to renew his copyright. See the section on Duration of Copyrights for more detailed information on effective copyright periods.

If, however, the copyright owner does keep the renewals up, then:
Generally, when you think of copyright term, you think in terms of the author's lifespan, plus some bonus years. However, as Congress keeps extending the bonus years in an interminable game of hopscotch to keep Micky Mouse out of the public domain, the calculus for determining copyright term becomes a little more. In fact, as you can see in the flowchart below, the calculus really begins to look like calculus.
