Another Mopar in the family

gomopar440

Livin' my life...one gas station at a time.
Well, sorta... My brother's V-10 Ram got totaled (bodywise) by the insurance company after it was in New Orleans for Katrina so he needed something to replace it. I think he made a wise choice...

From what he told me it's a 43 Dodge Panel Wagon on a 78 New Yorker chassis. 318, AT, PS, PB with a Vintage Air A/C system.

That last pic is for XL:cool:

BTW: The V-10 Ram is for sale for $3500. The body is obviously toast but it runs fine. PM me if anyone is interested.

And powered by Mopar!

As cool as some old rods are, if they're a Mopar not powered by a Mopar, I don't bother looking at them or take a picture. Well, I have to look to see that's it's not a Mopar drivetrain but I stop looking once I see what is usually a cookie-cutter bowtie drivetrain.

Awesome! Thanks for the last one, yah bastard! :D

Yea, I thought you'd like that one:D .

One of his main requirements was that he wanted to be able to fit his YZ 426 in the back. Well, looks like he found a winner:dance: .

He told me that his charging system isn't working on it and was thinking of rewiring all of it to fix the problem. I told him that rewiring the entire truck might be a bit premature. Find the problem first and then decide if it's worth having to put a wiring kit (Painless or Ron Francis) in it.

I had to explain to him that he already DID have an electronic ignition system on it.

*cough*Big block*cough*

Very cool!!!

May be a little tight in '73 I installed a 392 and could not get fenders back on without triming.... so big block may be tight in the front.
6.1 hemi ya thats the ticket

I miss my 39 they're right big block won't fit without SERIOUS triming on the fenders and major help to the suspension. Skip the big bucks and go with EZwiring harness--195 instead of 400

Wazzat you say? Do tell... I need to be rewiring the R/T/A soon I think and ain't too keen on the idea of having to pony up 400 bones for the new Painless Mopar kit. :(

BTW, I belive he's already gotten the truck rewired. He drove it to work today.:giggedy:
