69 super bee getting started.

69superbee

Hoping to someday pump an Elephant
here are some picts of my super bee before i get started on all of the work for this summer.
it might have to wear black primer for a lil bit.
i might not get the paint done this year but i do have new doors, fenders, deck lid, parking lights, grill , and bumpers.

i was really suprized about the attention that it got here in the local monroe car shows made me pretty proud since i got her in a baskett.

im pretty shure ill be putting her back in F8 F8 F8 with a black stripe or maybe even stripe delete it im not sure yet but that is part of the fun. and collecting all of the other goodies i have been collecting the last few years was quite a job.

i stored it out doors this year that is why it looks so dirty and has wax all over the rims.

ya think this looks bad ya should of seen it when i got it.

i cant figure out how to attach picts so ill just add links

i put fenders and the new grill. the old grill came out in a a bunch of little pieces and the fenders were pretty rotten.

i couldnt wait !!!!

i was really suprized to see that the lower cowl was in great shape i cleaned it up a bit and sprayed some paint on there.

i was really freaked out for see that my car is f6 green in the cowl and reads f8 on the fender tag. but the vin and the tag reads correct. kidna strange aint it and my tag does not say end on it is that normal?

my tag reads like this.

from top to bottom:

line 1: 26123 238788 9A236574
line 2: 925 594 603
line 3: 26
line 4: 88 N96
line 5: F8 F8 H26 F8
line 6: WM21 E63 D21 306 268556

the Vin reads correct with the tag.

i see F6 green paint but i dont see it on the tag
if it was on the fender i would just think it had a replacement fender put on but this paint was under the rear inner splash shields and when i removed the ten tons of under coating from the engine compartment i found the f6 green as well. hummm.....
and now a few new picts.

i used the fender tag decoder app that i found on a web site and

it all checked out as a stripe delete 69 super bee 383
4 speed Ramcharger

all of that F8 F8 H2G F8 stuff does not add up...

the inside of the car is F8 though would it be calling out the interior ?

it has the dark green door panels, dash, headliner to make it easy this car is all F8 inside lol

this is what it looked like the day Killer Bee and I drug it in from doom

here is the best pict of the fender tag that i could get.

i hope that you all can read it and help me figger out the codes that i cant.

thanks for all of the help.

The H2G (not H26) is for high-grade buckets in green. Lynch Road tags suck... they don't have much info on them. The 26 means it was built with the large 26" radiator. Not much else to decode, really... the lack of an END, EN1, or EN2 on the data plate is common on Lynch Road cars since they have the gate (26), base (123), and line sequence (238788) numbers on the top line.

ahhh! that takes care of the delema thanks guys.

h2g errrr i have a green bench in it ill now have to go on a search for bucketts oh well i like the couch in it

naw im kinda watching the prices on the air box and cables on E-Rrrrip. that will have to happen later down the road .

i was almost thinking about putting a bolt on 6pack hood but, im not sure. ill wait to see how this hood looks when i get all of the paint off from it. this car has at least 5 color changes on it so i need to find a way to strip off all of that paint i am thinking about aircraft stripper.

but the good news is that all ill have to strip is the roof and hood :) the rest is going to get replaced lol

the structure of the car is in pretty nice shape i think that is why it was saved and painted so many times. but it had been really mistreated and abused. i think i might be the only one of its many owners to try and put things back in proper order.

ill keep ya'll posted on progress.

Are you gonna save that WRIF sticker on the rear bumper? :)
I may have some NOS ones.
It'll be a nice machine when done.

lol you saw that ?

looks to be early 80's vintage and not correct with the car althought the car was born and beat on the mean streets of detroit all of its former life.

im leaving in the morning to attempt a rescue on a nice black 74 road runner if it turns out to be decent ill get it for my boy.
