25lb. Salmon caught today

Today Jerry caught this salmon. It weighed in at 25lbs 13oz, 38"long. He and his friends were fishing down at the clearwater river near Lewiston, Idaho. Too bad next weekend is the derby--this could easily win the prize money!

i got massive fish burn out as a kid when we caught smelt and smoked it......if youve never fished for smelt before...you take a BIG net dip it in the water and STRUGGLE to pull it back out cause now its PACKED FULL...empty and repeat till youve caught your limit(almost a toyota pickup bed full at that time)....we smoked it we froze it ....i HATE fish now!!!

There are ways of telling if a fish had been frozen but I can't remember the detailed signs. People have tried that and got caught.
If we had the extra funds we would of liked to have it mounted. But just look at these fillets!
It was a female and we saved her eggs to use for bait.

Dear lord!! That's a huge freakin' fish. The only problem I have with seafood is that it's not made of beef. They sure are fun to catch, though.
