This Swinger has an performance stance and sound, sure to please even the most discerning MoPar enthusiast! This Dart was born right down the street from us at the old St. Louis Dodge plant
The 1973 model year Darts received new front styling with revised fenders, grille, header panel, and hood. New front bumpers were installed to comply with new federal regulations, as well as side-impact guard beams in the doors and new emission control devices.
Finished in a brilliant Top Banana (code FY1) Yellow shows good with Patina. The yellow is tastefully broken up with a black vinyl top. The front and rear chrome bumpers with bumperettes are tight and finish is good. The front grill is in very good condition, showing only minor signs of aging. All trim pieces are present and have a nice finish. The headlights and taillights are in very condition with no hazing or cracks.
Inside, this Dodge features black vinyl (code V1X) optional hi-back front bucket seats and rear bench seat which show well. The matching door panels, carpet and dashboard are a continuation of the striking interior of this sedan and look good. The black headliner completes rest of the interior and is in very good condition. The weather-stripping is good, with few signs of drying, tearing or shrinkage. All the original equipment gauges are well placed, have correct appearance and working air conditioning. The original Dodge designed three spoke steering wheel and upgraded Jensen stereo are in very good condition.
This ’73 Dart is equipped with a 318ci V8 engine fed by a 2 barrel carburetor. Power is transferred to the wheels by a three-speed automatic transmission with B&M shifter. Cast-iron exhaust manifolds with dual exhausts. The driver assist features power steering and power brakes. The suspension consists of upper and lower control arms, longitudinal torsion bars, anti-roll bar elliptical, longitudinal leaf springs; telescoping shock absorbers. Upgraded 14-inch original rallye wheels and polished beauty rings with performance radial tires.
This particular Dodge is a nice example of the Swinger from the MoPar muscle car days. From the eye catching Yellow exterior to the chrome accessories in the engine bay, everything works together to make this one of the original ’73 Darts we ever seen!… GET OUT AND DRIVE!

I Power is transferred to the wheels by a three-speed automatic transmission with B&M shifter.

Would you look at that, it must be the world's first B&M's column shifter.

And I wonder if the artist that did the under-hood painting has finished kindergarten yet. :hmmm:

Wow.. I was hoping for a bad mural on the underside of the hood. Not sure which disappoints me more, the brake booster, or the lack of mural.

id be willing to bet money on that fender tag being the EXACT indication of how much lipstick was put on the pig

No Shit. Who takes the time to remove the fender tag for paint, but doesn't even bother getting so much as a trash bag near the brake master/booster before the spray process? Unless the tag is a transplant, but that still suggests that somebody cared enough to try.

have a second look underhood..there is yellow on EVERYTHING..ac lines master..have a gander around...then there is the rust weap out under the door sils and such..that thing is a rot box full of filler slapped with yellow..hell even the top has rust under it

Oh I saw the terrible overspray on everything else.. and the rust.. That he wanted to paint the MC as well.. Actually tried to.. Gawd

I see a pair of solid doors, a set of disc brakes and a spool-type V8 K-member. Everything else is crusher fodder unless '69 Barracuda hoods are suddenly in short supply. To my eyes, you can't jackhammer the ugly off a '73-up A-body... they literally ruined the cars that year.

yeah those hoods are dime a dozen!!!..outside of the nose cone its still a 70s car..but the nose cone is HORID
