Boyd Coddington passed away yesterday. He was 63. Quoting from the San Francisco Chronicle: "Car-building legend Boyd Coddington, whose testosterone-injected cable TV reality show "American Hot Rod" introduced the nation to the West Coast hot rod guru, has died. He was 63. Coddington...

Just wondering if anyone else here gets/reads Autoweek magazine? (http://autoweek.com/) It's a weekly magazine that features the latest goings-on in the car biz; new car shows, latest production info, also has retro articles, etc... It's a great read while your wife is sitting there looking...

What did you think of the '08 Challenger on BJ?

The Barrett-Jackson 2008 Challenger, S/N "1" that got sold for 400 Large. I have to say it changed my mind a bit, being the 1st time I've seen the new Challenger in a real setting on video. I liked how it looks a lot better that what I had seen from the still photos!

    Got Fiber?

The Verizon FIOS guys got done hooking me up to fiber optic service last yesterday, WOW! what a difference! My computer works faster; I was expecting that. What was surprising though was that I had Dish Network HD TV service before the fiber, and my HDTV gained as much sharpness again as it did...

Ack! Just spent a bundle on inferior tires...

"inferior tires", as in Bias-Plys that is! Goodyear Speedway F70-14 redlines, reasonably priced at $170/Each. The Green Monster is getting back from paint very soon, and this is a car that has never even had any radials mounted on those stock steel rims. The pic below shows the 1970's era...

    Are you date coded anal?

Do you lose sleep at night, afraid that someone will spot the incorrect build date on your wiper motor? Somehow, I feel like I'm supposed to care. Maybe all the magazine articles and the current high prices on our cars make me feel like that. Personally though, I don't give a crap, just as long...

Could look good with the right wheels and color. It will probably go the way of the bitchin' 1999 Powerwagon concept though...

Just showing off the Superbee 'Vert...

I bought this car somewhat as it is 2 months ago. I pulled off the 15x7" Cragars and put on 15x6" and 15x8" Convo Pros, added the SuperBee tail panel, wet sanded and buffed the paint, etc... In the process, I lost 108Lbs off the front of the car! This is in addition to the 47Lbs of...

    Review: Challenger & Barracuda 1970-1974, J. Schild

This is the best resto book I've seen so far. Lots of accurate information, over 200 color photos, and no time wasted on the pre-1970 Barracuda models... it's all E-bodies! The book comes across as being written by an enthusiast, rather than someone just trying to make some bucks by filling...

    Do you watch "Wing Nuts"?

It's a new show on TLC about a small upstart business that takes old aircraft parts and makes them into modern art-deco furniture. It's only been on for 3 weeks or so. Anyway, the annoying psycho-type guy who's always wearing shades, Tim Roberts, passed away suddenly Oct. 11th. I think he...

Review: Challenger & Barracuda resto guide, P. Herd

There are currently 2 resto guides on the market that deal with these cars. I chose this one, by Paul Herd, simply because it is larger at 272 pages vs. "The ULTIMATE CHALLENGER & BARRACUDA RESTORER'S GUIDE" by Jim Schild which comes in at 128 pages. A bigger book must have more information...
